Micah Gooden is in his 2nd year as the Director of Bands for the Louisiana School District. This is his 4th year of teaching Band.  Before coming to Louisiana, he taught K-12 Instrumental and Vocal Music at Marceline School District in Marceline, MO.

Mr. Gooden graduated Cum Laude in May of 2010 with a Bachelors of Music Education from Missouri State University (in Springfield, MO) where he was an active participant in the PRIDE Bands Program and the Choral Program. During his college career he had the opportunity to Sing in Ohio, Canada, Boston, and New York. While with the PRIDE Band he was a member of the Lead band in the Tournament of Roses Parade, The McDonald's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and several other performances around the State of Missouri.

Micah is a Member of MSTA, NAfME (National Association for Music Education), MMEA (Missouri Music Educators).  In his free time he works on computers, iPads, and building websites.
